Ciudad Agroalimentaria de Tudela Awards

Place: Chamber Hall at the Baluarte Conference Centre; open to the general public.

Price: Free.

The Ciudad Agroalimentaria de Tudela awarded the Quality Gold Medals for the second consecutive year to the best delicatessen product and the best wine.

2nd Reyno de Navarra - Vive las Verduras Prize

Place: Chamber Hall at the Baluarte Conference Centre; conference delegates.

Martín Berasategui, a chef of international stature, was awarded the 2nd Reyno de Navarra Prize by the Regional Minister for Rural Development, Begoña Sanzberro. The prize, which is the second largest in Europe in terms of monetary value at 40,000 euros, also included a sculpture of Faustino Aizkorbe. Ferrán Adrià, last year's prize-winner, was also at the event.

Navarre Tapas and Wine Tunnel

Place: Baluarte; open to the general public.

Twenty famous establishments served some of the country's best tapas, accompanied by Navarra wines, from 12 to 14 May. The Baluarte was thus transformed into a macro-space for tapas and a unique opportunity to taste the best our bars have to offer.

The conference delegate's table

Place: Terrace of the Baluarte restaurant, first floor; speakers, delegates and journalists.

Speakers, conference delegates and journalists met at the restaurant to exchange opinions on the talks. There were free tastings of Caviar del Reyno, Joselito's ham and charcuterie, Florette salads, Gutarra vegetables menestra and pocha beans, Alkorta cod pil pil and ajoarriero style and an assortment of Martiko products, including smoked salmon fillet, foie-gras terrines, fresh duck liver and duck confit. There was also D.O. Roncal cheese, Navarre beef and lamb, products from the Cooperativa Avícola Navarra, Conservas Ría and Prodecasa, as well as fresh asparagus and artichokes, Lodosa canned Piquillo peppers and several ready-meals and desserts made by Horno Artesano. All of this was accompanied by excellent Navarra wines.

2nd ‘World of Florette Salads’ Competition, with Martín Berasategui

PLace: Mezzanine Room in the Baluarte Conference Centre, open to the general public.

Price: Free of charge.

One thousand different salads created by the students of different hotel and catering schools competed in the 2nd ‘World of Florette Salads’ Competition.

Martín Berasategui selected the most original and creative salad, and presented the prize to the winning team. Each salad was plated so the Jury could make a better evaluation of the finished dish.

Conference Gala dinner - Berasategui

Place: First floor terrace of the Baluarte restaurant; by invitation only.

Price: €100.

The menu was created by Guipuzcoan chef Martín Berasategui.

Reyno Gourmet Workshop

Place: Professional tasting room; conference delegates and trade professionals.

Reyno Gourmet offered delegates and trade professionals attending the Fair a dedicated area for enjoying its regional products from a multi-sensorial perspective.

  • Walk through / Introduction to Navarra Wines
    Price: €3 per person.
    Every day during the conference, beginners’ wine tasting sessions were held for groups of 25-30 people from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm. with the cooperation of the Control Board of D.O. Navarra. Six Navarra Wines were tasted each day. The tastings were led by Control Board oenologists and technicians.
