Other congress activities
The public in general was able to take part in a wide range of gastronomic activities throughout the congress. These included ‘The Tapas and Navarra Wine Runway', ‘Gastronomic Days’, ‘Cultural workshops and tastings’ and the 'First Championship of Gastronomic Societies'.
Parade of Pinchos and Wine from Navarre
The Tapas and Wine Runway provided those visitors who so desired with the finest Navarra wines and the country's best tapas. At affordable prices and open in the mornings and afternoons, the runway was set up in Baluarte's "Mezanina" Room.
Culinary Days on Vegetables
On these days, different Navarrese bars and restaurants laid on special set meals based on innovatively and creatively prepared vegetable dishes.
Worshops and Cultural Tasting
Finding out about the benefits to the health of certain tastes and properties, travelling to the origins of a product or savouring the full flavour of a region were some of the things the general public could enjoy at Navarra Gourmet.
Gastronomic society competition
Ten gastronomic societies prepared three typical Navarrese dishes. A professional jury chose the winner, which won €3,000.
Historical recipe book
The Historical Recipe Book was a tribute to Navarra's most emblematic dishes. The public had the opportunity to taste these at affordable prices.
Tasting of cat runners-up prize products
The Ciudad Agroalimentaria de Tudela awarded prizes to Navarra's best gastronomic products, which were available for tasting, at affordable prices, in the "Muralla" Room.
